DiMonda Bakery (516) 798-8795 has a wide variety of bakery goods
for great prices. You can get a tray of their delicious Italian pastries
for about $8.95 per pound. Surprise your friends and family on their
next birthday with a picture of them on the cake. They actually take
the picture and make an exact replica of it as a wafer and place it
on the cake. The best part is that it is only $10 extra.
For a snack, you can’t go wrong with a black and white cookie
for only $.95 each or get a huge, cake-size one for $2.55.
DiMonda is open every day at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday,
Thursday, and Sunday they are open until 7 p.m. and
Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday until 7:30 p.m.

Jacqueline Ingoglia opened her Patisserie 5 years ago with the intentions of making her bakery stand above the cookie cutter monotony of the others in the area. From the creative seasonal specialties to custom designed
occasion cakes, her creations are a portfolio of taste inspirations.
One of her most popular orders is the sand castle cake for birthdays
and other special occasions. She has accommodated such odd requests as
pocketbook cakes and makes an art of designing wedding cakes
by incorporating elements of the bride’s gown and floral arrangements.
To keep things fresh and interesting for her customers, Jacqueline varies her offerings by season incorporating fresh fruit into tarts and pies for
summer and pumpkin to her holiday season recipes. When only
chocolate can comfort a craving, she recommends the Duo, an
indulgent layering of chocolate torte, chocolate mousse and
meringue mocha mousse wrapped in fine milk chocolate.
Her personal favorite is the scones,
which at $1.75 soar far beyond the boring bagel.
Jacqueline’s Patisserie is open Tuesday through Saturday, 7 to 7 and
